Freeform patches will be a new addition to ENVI. Instead of sewing my patches directly onto a piece of clothing, I will make patches by themselves, to standard sizes. YOU will get to choose how you what to use them, but I will give you some ideas!

  • put your patch in a picture frame

  • pin it to your pinboard

  • attach your patch to a tote bag

  • attach your patch to a hoodie,sweater,t-shirt, or clothing item of your choice

  • attach your patch to a pair of jeans

  • combine multiple patches and make a collage

  • use it to cover a hole or stain on your favorite clothes

  • use it as a journal or book cover

If you decide to attach your patch, here are some attachment options:

  • fabric glue

  • iron on adhesive

  • safety pins

  • fabric tape

  • hand sew the edges with floss or a needle and thread

  • sew with a sewing machine, using a single stitch around the edges
